Bluebell Wood is a strong, imposing 4-year-old filly by Irish 2000 Guineas winning stallion Mastercraftsman and out of the unraced War Chant mare, Woodland Chant.

She is a full sister to Group 3 winning filly, Iveagh Gardens, who beat Found in the Canford Cliffs European Breeders Fund Athasi Stakes at the Curragh in May of 2015. Later that year, Found went on to win the Breeders Cup Turf, before claiming the 2016 Arc – strong form indeed!

Bought as a 2-year-old for what now seems a very reasonable €10,000 at the Goff’s February sale, the almost instant pedigree upgrade from her full sister meant that we decided to put her in foal to our stallion Albaasil, rather than race her.

We look forward to her first foal being born in 2017.
