Bought for €46,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland yearling sale in 2015, Canford is small but mighty with a huge stride for his size. Out of a winning Invincible Spirit mare, Maundays Bay, he is a half-brother to a winner, She’s Electric. After working well before his first run at Pontefract he ran disappointingly finishing 6th, we later found he was suffering from an infection.
We decided to bring him back as a 3yo with the aim of winning an early season maiden in 2017.
